Ignition Kits for Diesel to CNG/LNG Conversion

Gill Diesel to CNG/LNG Conversion ignition kits have been designed for use on compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane (LNG) applications and are ideal for use by OEMs on new gas engines or for conversion of existing diesel engines. All components in the kits have been optimised to work together, producing a very efficient system.

Gill Diesel to CNG/LNG Conversion Ignition Kits are available for 4 and 6 cylinder engines.
Each kit includes:

  • Ignition Module
  • Ignition Coils
  • Timing Disc
  • Ignition Pickup
  • Wiring Harness

Important notes for Diesel to CNG/LNG Conversion

To convert an existing Diesel vehicle to run on CNG/LNG will require the following to be considered.

  • Installation of Gas Cylinders, regulators and fuel delivery systems.
  • Diesel Engines are not fitted with Spark Plugs and therefore require a completely new ignition system. GS4 and GS6 Diesel to CNG/LNG Conversion Kits (above) include all required ignition components.
  • The Cylinder head may need to be modified to install the Spark Plugs. The pistons may also need to be modified to adjust the compression ratio.
