GS4/GS6 Ignition Systems for diesel to CNG/LPG conversions
The Gill GS4/GS6 Ignition Management System has been designed for use on compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane (LNG) applications. Ideal for use by OEMs on new gas engines or for conversion of existing diesel engines to run on gas.
All ignition system components are available in a kit which includes ignition module, ignition coils, timing disc, pick up and wiring harness and have been optimised to work together, providing a cost efficient yet advanced ignition system.
The GS4/GS6 ignition module is a robust, solid-state electronic module that provides highly accurate and extremely powerful inductive ignition, which when tailored with the Gill range of ignition coils, produces spark durations well in excess of any CDI ignition system.
This power and accuracy enable the GS4/GS6 system to control normally aspirated or turbo-charged engines, running on natural gas, bio gas, LPG and CNG in either lean burn or Stoichiometric air/fuel ratios.
The Ignition system is supplied configured for use with the standard Gill timing disc allowing quick and easy installation onto the engine. More advanced features are available via the RS232 programming port.

Standard features include:
Ignition point - fully programmable for load, speed and temperature (via RS232)
On-board visible status indicator
Automatic supply voltage compensation for total control of spark energy and duration for 12v or 24v systems
Advanced programming features include:
Fully programmable via easy to use Windows® based GUI software
Flexible User Security Feature
Factory configurable for OEM engine timing disc patterns and sensors
Advanced diagnostics accessible via GUI
User-programmable via the Windows® GUI, these igniters provide extensive flexibility. With fully programmable speed mapping and load mapping curves, you can expect to see improved engine efficiency, lower exhaust emissions, reduced engine maintenance and decreased engine operating costs.
The programmed settings in a Gill ignition system can be protected by a user security feature, which ensures that only permitted personnel can amend them. This provides the user with the ability to configure engines for a specific requirement, with the peace of mind that once the engine has left his possession, changes to these settings cannot be made.
